December 27, 2007 ![]() My secret sister , Carissa sent me these lovely teas, mug, Chocolate and yummy spinning fiber. Thank you..Judy B. December 10, 2007 My Secret Sister is Cheryl B. Look at all the goodies I received from Cheryl today! She didn't send the bread, but if you want to know more you can read about it at My Journey To Wholeness. She did send the yummy Scottish cinnamon short bread though along with some flavored cocoa. The bags in front are tisanes (herbal tea...does not contain actual tea leaves) in yummy flavors like vanilla chamomile! I don't know what the roving is but it is colorful and yummy and just perfect to go with the spindle I will be getting in my Christmas stocking this year! :o) Last, but not least, are two skeins of Brown Sheep Wild Foote sock yarn which are blue/red twisted. I've always wanted to try this.Cheryl, thank you so much! You have been a super secret sister! I hope you will be sharing more on the list, because you seem like a super neat gal! December 06, 2007 Getting Ready to MailI've been collecting a few things for my secret sister and praying for her regularly. Our tastes in food and beverages are so different, she has been a real challenge for me. But at least we have the love of fiber/yarn in common!
Coffee tea and theeI tried to be secret and didn't realize I had put my full name in the name box. It has been fun collecting things for my sis. Praying for her throughout the day had been an added blessing.Judy B.
Coffee, Tea & Thee SisterI don't think my secret sister knows who I am yet, and that is amazing 'cuz I am so bad at keeping secrets - LOL! And I don't know who is gifting to me yet, either. I have emailed and shared prayer requests with both of these women, though, and can't wait to finally share/find out who is who ;)My secret sister has been a dream to shop for, because the answers to her questionnaire match mine almost exactly - LOL! So I just went shopping as if for myself...hehe. I have one more thing I want to put in her package and then think I will be able to put it in the mail on Saturday or Monday, depending on when I go to town. While I have been praying for these two sisters, I have been remembering Kimberly, who started this swap, each time we pray. Lets keep her in prayer! Hugs, Cary at Serenity Farms
Fibery Fun From My Sister Hi Everyone! Look at this gorgeous skein of yarn that I received from my Sister Cheryl! I know who she is accidentally, only because of being a moderator on the list. It is okay though because I just know her name and not much else about her. She sent this lovely skein, along with some stitch markers she made me, right before Thanksgiving. It's a wool/mohair blend which she spun herself! After Christmas I'll have to put my thinking cap on and decide what to make with it. The stitchmarkers came just in time too...I have too many projects going at once and needed some more. :o) Thank you Cheryl! I am looking forward to getting to know you more!April 10, 2007 ![]() Just wanted to post a picture of the beautiful tea mug (note ceramic strainer and lid) and lovely "comfort wool" Corriedale roving that Cary sent to me! Yes, I must testify that this is next to the skin soft, for sure! And lovely shades of black and brown. Thank you so much! Thank you everyone, for helping to bless my life with this time to pray together and share. Charlotte March 24, 2007 Winding DownThis exchange will be coming to an end this month (March). I pray that it was a blessing to those who participated. Lets spend this last week of March praying especially for our "LOF Pals"! It would be nice if you could drop a note of prayer, by email or snail, to your Sister.Again, lets especially remember in prayer Trish and Margaret, as they were partnered with Dale. And all say a special prayer for Dale's family. March 23, 2007 Sometimes Better Late Than NeverI have finally taken the time to draw a name for the last prize drawing...this one for those of you who contributed the yummy, yummy recipes. The winner of our Life Overflowing special mug is Charlotte!!! Woo-hoo, congratulations Charlotte ;) I will be shipping this out to you in just a few days. I know that for many of us, the emotion that has been our partner for the past few days is sadness at the loss of our very dear friend Dale. Theresa wrote a beautiful sentiment at her blog, if you haven't had the chance to read that please take a visit now. You can reach Theresa's blog by clicking on her name in the sidebar on the left. It can be especially sad for Margaret and Trish....Dale was sending to Margaret in this swap and Trish was sending Dale, and also to Deborah who was able to meet Dale in this lifetime. Lets remember these Sisters in prayer and most of all Dale's family, especially her beloved husband. We were blessed to know her through our group and won't it be a joyous reunion when we meet her again in Heaven?!? March 08, 2007 I'm here, I'm here!Hello Sweet Sisters! I'm back! Just got my computer home today and had to drop in quickly to apologize for my unplanned neglect and absence....I will try to write more later and to contact Carissa and catch up on news....hugs, Cary | ||
